Good morning, The last couple of weeks were a very busy time. Apologies for the break, but I am back, and today I share something that I believe is the most important part of a Christian's life on this earth. Acknowledging the Holy Spirit daily at all times in every moment. Background: The Farewell Discourse in John 13–17, also called the Upper Room Discourse, contains Jesus’ final private teachings to his disciples following the Last Supper. In these chapters, Jesus washes their feet, commands them to love one another as he has loved them, promises the Holy Spirit, and uses the vine-and-branches image to stress that we must abide in him. Content: There is a moment in the Gospel of John where Jesus says something that must have unsettled His disciples. In John 15, He speaks of leaving them, of a coming separation they were not ready to face. But yet in the same breath, He gives a promise that carries more weight than their fear.
