How many of us can testify that we see and experience God’s love for us every single day? As we journey through life, it’s natural to think that God is far away—looking down on us mere mortals from a vast distance, residing in the third heaven. But that simply isn’t true.   Good afternoon, In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. (Genesis 1:1-3 KJV) We’ve all read these opening verses of the Bible countless times. We picture the nothingness, the formless void, the thick darkness. But then God speaks, and in a moment, light explodes into existence. But there was something truly special that happened in that moment that I never stopped to notice: the Holy Spirit was already there, waiting. Before a single word left God’s mouth, verse 2 tells us the Spirit of God was moving—hovering, brooding—over the face of the waters. The Hebrew word “moved” (rachaph) paints a picture of a mother bird gently fluttering over her nest, expectant and ready.   As I was driving this week and listening to a teaching, as I often do, this one was sent to me by a friend.
