Be an example

 Good morning!

My mother and I spoke about my grandfather and grandmother on my father's side this morning. And this made my mind wander back, and I was reminded what an amazing example my grandfather was to his family.

As a young boy I saw him at church every Sunday. He was an impressive big 6ft 4 inch man with huge hands but with a soft heart and Godly wisdom. He loved God passionately, was an orphan and had a VERY difficult life. But God was always first.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me about this and this is what is in my heart this morning from God.

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is our ultimate example in how to live, suffer, love, and serve. We are called to imitate Him, follow in His steps, and reflect His character. At the same time, Scripture calls us to live as examples to one another, so that our lives point others to Christ through our words, actions, love, faith, and purity.

Jesus as Our Example

Jesus left us a pattern to follow:

1 Peter 2:21 — "For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps."

John 13:15 — After washing the disciples' feet, Jesus said, "For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you."

We need to be an Example to others.

Titus 2:7-8 — "Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned..."

Matthew 5:16 — "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

I want to ask you to be that example:

Be the light, guiding and directing

Be the love, acceptance, support, and humility and showing God’s heart for people.

Be the trust, to listen to advise and to support

Be the compassion, to care to give and to heal

As His children God has empowered us to be an example in all these things through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We need to speak Jesus!

Good afternoon, Over the past week, a few real things happened to real people around here—things that stirred up emotions, some good and some tough. The challenge we all face on this earth is finding a way to handle both the highs and lows without losing our focus—keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus on the cross, no matter how hard it gets sometimes. We had power cuts that threw us off balance for a bit. We managed with backup power… until I accidentally blew the generator. Then my wife broke a tooth—the second one in just a month. Two unplanned dental bills in quick succession, and they're not cheap. The microwave gave up about a month ago too. Our daughter was sick for six long weeks before we finally got the right diagnosis—thank God she's healed and doing well now. And to top it off, our water bill came in 30% higher than usual. Why Did God Save You for these Days?

A Message that will shift your perspective If you reflect on roughly 6,000 years of human history—kings rising and falling, prophets speaking, miracles unfolding, revivals igniting, and rebellions crashing—I've come to a stunning realization: God didn't place you and me in this moment by accident.
